The Gokyo Lake Valley Trek is the second most popular trek route in the Everest Region, after Everest Base Camp Trek. The Gokyo Lake Valley, in Nepal's Khumbu region, is one of the most picturesque valleys in the region, offering trekkers an incredible blend of natural, cultural and spiritual splendor.

This 14-day trek to the Gokyo Valley will take you to the majestic Gokyo Ri Peak (5,357 m/ 17,575 ft), with a maximum elevation gain of 5,340 m offering the view of the magnificent ice edge between Gyachang(2,922 m) and Mt Cho Oyu & Gokyo Lake in the Khumbu region is one of the trek's most impressive and memorable features.

Gokyo Valley Trek provides us with a rare and unique opportunity to see amazing Himalayan ranges exceeding 8,000 meters, including Mt Everest (8848m), Lhotse (8414m), Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Ngozumpa Glacier — Nepal's largest glacier.

Trip Itinerary

Day 01:  Arrival at Kathmandu International Airport (1300mtrs). We will meet and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour or a free day for trek preparation.

Day 03: Kathmandu – Lukla (2800mtrs) – Phakding (2610mts), 35min flight, 3-4 hrs walk.

Day 04: Phakding – Namche Bazaar (3440mts), 5-6 hrs walk.

Day 05: Namche Bazaar: Rest and acclimatization day.

Day 06: Namche Bazaar – Dole (4100mtrs), 5-6 hrs walk.

Day 07: Dole – Machhermo (4400mtrs), 4-5 hrs walk.

Day 08: Machhermo – Gokyo (4750mtrs), 3-4 hrs walk.

Day 09: Gokyo: Exploration of Gokyo Valley.

Day 10: Gokyo – Phortse (3810mtrs), 5-6 hrs walk.

Day 11: Phortse – Monjo (2840mtrs), 4-5 hrs walk.

Day 12: Monjo – Lukla (2800mtrs), 4-5 hrs walk.

Day 13: Lukla – Kathmandu (1300mtrs), 35 min flight. Return to hotel and rest of day free.

Day 14: Final Departure: Transfer to International Airport for your flight connection to your onward destination.

NB: Cloud and turbulent weather along the mountain ranges is common and may lead to internal mountain flight delays or cancellations. We suggest you add at least one extra day after your trek before flying out of Nepal.
